Shui On Seagull Club Charity Walk raised over $150,000 for BMABHK

Shui On Seagull Club Charity Walk 2010 raised over $150,000 for BMABHK. The funds raised will cover costs for four library programs and read aloud trainings to local educational centers for children with special needs. A read aloud training was conducted at their office for around 20 Shui On staff who have also provided three reading sessions at our recipient network.

The Shui On Seagull Club Charity Walk 2010, an annual fundraising event organized by the voluntary social service unit formed by the employees of the Shui On Group, was held on March 28, 2010 at

the Inspiration Lake. Over 150 employees and their families of the Shui On Group have demonstrated their commitment to promoting family literacy by participating in the Charity Walk. Over $150,000 was raised for BMABHK to offer library programs and read aloud training to local educational centers for children with special needs.

The Opening Ceremony of the Walk was officiated by Executive Directors of Shui On Construction and Materials Limited, Mr. Lawrence Choi and Mr. Philip Wong, Chairman of Organising Committee for the Charity Walk 2010, Mr. William Yeung, Ms. Sarah Dyer Dana, Board Chair of BMABHK, and Ms. Pia Wong, Executive Director of BMABHK.
