The House that Lou Built by Mae Respicio is a charming, funny, warm-hearted coming-of-age, middle-grade novel that explores culture, family, forgiveness, friendship, and what makes a true home. Lou Bulosan-Nelson’s ultimate summer DIY project is that she’s going to build her own “tiny house,” 100 square feet all her own.
