About Jon Klassen:

Award-winning Canadian illustrator and author Jon Klassen began his career as a film animator before moving to the world of children’s book illustration. His books have been awarded the Caldecott medal, Caldecott honors, the Kate Greenaway Medal and other prestigious international awards.

He worked as an animator at DreamWorks on films such as Coraline (2009), which was adapted from the book by Neil Gaiman, and Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011). Feeling a connection between animation and illustration, Klassen became interested in working with children’s books, and his stories resonate with readers around the world.
