Hair Love

Based on an Oscar winning animated short film, Hair Love highlights the bond between fathers and daughters, and celebrates self-confidence and the beauty of natural Black hair, ‘which kinks, coils and curls every which way’. In the book, Zuri, enjoys having different hair styles to suit different moods — like when she wants to be a princess, or a superhero — but when Mom is away, Zuri finds it hard to style it the way she wants. Luckily, Dad is around, and after a few funny hair mishaps, father and daughter have a lovely time, getting the perfect look for Mommy’s return!
