Testimonials from Principals and Educators:
|Larry Leaven, Founding Principal, Dalton School Hong Kong
“The DSHK learning community was excited to welcome Bring Me a Book’s Julie Fowlkes to our very first Dalton Speaker Series: You Are Your Child’s First Teacher! Julie’s personalized approach to the evening allowed parents the opportunity to engage in discussion, ask questions, and participate in hands-on, interactive activities. Julie’s more than 50 years in education echoed throughout the evening. Her strategic use of children’s literature, coupled with practical child-centered early literacy strategies, provided parents with ways to draw their children in as early readers…today and every day! We look forward to working with Bring Me a Book and Julie in the future!”
|Sandra Webster, Principal, Bradbury School
“It was lovely to have reading specialist, Julie Fowlkes visit our school recently – she was very engaging with her presentation and supportive of the participants. She presented many good ideas that parents can easily use at home to support their child in developing as a reader and our parent feedback was very positive”
