  • Mem Fox is a retired Associate Professor of Literacy Studies (Flinders University, South Australia), and also Australia’s most highly regarded picture-book author.
  • Diane Frankenstein is an expert in children’s literature and language arts, an award-winning author, and strategic literacy consultant and pioneer.
  • Stephen Krashen is a linguist and educational researcher who is the foremost authority in the fields of second-language acquisition, bilingual education and free voluntary reading.
  • Leonard Marcus is a renowned historian and critic in the world of children’s books.
  • Cris Rowan is a pediatric occupational therapist and child development expert who advocates for reducing the use of technology in child development.
  • Mark Williams (www.oxfordmindfulness.org) is founder of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, an international centre of excellence within Oxford University’s Department of Psychiatry, that works with partners around the world to prevent depression and enhance human potential through the therapeutic use of mindfulness.
  • Madeline Levine, M.A., Ph.D.is a psychologist with over 30 years of experience as a clinician, consultant, and educator. Her book The Price of Privilege: How Parental Pressure and Material Advantage Are Creating a Generation of Disconnected and Unhappy Kids explores the reasons why teenagers from affluent families are experiencing epidemic rates of emotional problems.
  • Jon Klassen, Canadian writer and illustrator of children’s books and an animator. He won both the American Caldecott Medal and the British Kate Greenaway Medal for children’s book illustration
  • Yu Li Qiong, the Feng Zikai Chinese Children Picture Book award winning author of A New Year’s Reunion. The book was also one of the top 10 Best Illustrated Children’s Books of 2011 awarded by The New York Times Book Review.
