  1. Program Director

The Program Director plays a critical role to ensure the organization consistently delivers high quality and high impact programs to fulfil its mission. It is a full-time position that reports to the Executive Director.

Job Summary:

  1. Initiate and set goals for various programs in accordance with the organization’s strategic objectives
  2. Develop and plan programs, budgets and operations, ensuring all activities comply with internal policies and legal guidelines
  3. Support the Executive Director to communicate, develop relationships and report to donors, beneficiaries, media, government and other community partners
  4. Prepare proposals, budgets and reports on programs and special projects
  5. Oversee the fiscal operations of the agency
  6. Devise evaluation strategies for monitoring performance and for determining areas for improvement
  7. Work with the program team to ensure successful implementation of core programs and special projects


  1. Degree holder in Business Administration, Social Work or Education
  2. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in director or supervisory rank
  3. Experience in managing projects, budgets and delivering operational targets and evaluation procedures
  4. Strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills
  5. Problem-solving skills with a strong eye for detail
  6. Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English
  7. Extensive experience with MS Office, MS Excel, Microsoft Access
  8. Passionate in education and literacy issues, with knowledge of children’s books is an advantage

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. 5-day work per week. Medical benefits provided.

  1. Storytellers with a Creative Touch

Our professional storytellers are at the heart of our mission to ignite a love of reading amongst children in Hong Kong. Through interactive storytelling sessions and fun storybook extension activities and mini games, storytellers are great role models for parents and educators.

It is a part-time position that reports to the Project Manager. The storytellers can be bilingual or a native English and/or Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) speaker.

Job Summary:

  1. Select suitable books for the themed storytelling sessions
  2. Design fun storybook extension activities and mini games for the themed storytelling sessions
  3. Read stories and play together with a group of children (60-90 mins per session)
  4. Work independently in various locations


  1. Strong storytelling skills in English and/or Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
  2. 2+ years’ teaching experience with kids 2-6 years old incl. arts & crafts
  3. Be creative, energetic, and patient
  4. Passionate in education and literacy issues, with knowledge of children’s books is an advantage
  5. Retired teachers / social workers are welcome


  1. Hourly fee will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
  2. Travel allowance (Reimbursement)
