Aug 2019: Summer Camp – Sowing the Seeds of Creativity

We are pleased to offer a Special workshop by Leading Early Childhood Educators in this SUMMER!

Award-winning author and UK Children’s Laureate Ms. Lauren Child will be in Hong Kong this October! BMAB trainers and Founders of the Self-Directed Child, Mr and Mrs Wolfe will guide your children through a fun and creative journey based on Lauren Child’s books, inspiring them to create their own book. All families registered for the class will receive priority booking to meet Lauren Child in person!

  • Storytelling using a variety of books chosen from the new Read Aloud Collection, as well as a variety of books written by Lauren Child.
  • Group interactive games in English that are fun, engaging, and give children practical experience with speaking and listening skills.
  • Each child will create their own book, entitled “My Big Book of Interests.”  Teacher’s will adapt to and assist with the writing and drawing of this book based on the abilities of each child.

Special Offer:
Each family will also receive a free one on one consultation with Mr. Wolfe and Mrs. Wolfe to give some feedback and observations of your child’s interest and ability level with English reading and writing after their experience with this four hour session.

About Trainers:
Eliott and Eileen Wolfe are a husband and wife team who have a combined 20 years of international experience working with children and families.  They most recently spent the past seven years buildingand refining successful self-directed classroom environments as Senior Teachers at The International Montessori School in Hong Kong.
In 2018 they left full-time teaching to found and develop The Self-Directed Child as an educational resource aiming to help parents and practitioners implement practical and effective child-centred education.
Eliott and Eileen hold Master Degrees in Elementary Education, Association Montessori Internationale diplomas for teaching ages six to twelve, and are Hong Kong Education Bureau registered teachers.
