About Us - BMABHK Approach
To help children develop strong reading, a key predictor in determining high-school graduation and life success, BMABHK provides access to quality children's books; encourages a daily ritual of reading aloud; fosters language development; and educates the community about family literacy issues.
BMABHK programs and services are:
- Designed to utilize the most recent brain development research on infants, stressing the critical importance of stimulating and patterning young minds;
- Driven by the value of parents and teachers creating a ritual of reading aloud to their children to promote the developmental bonding needed for emotional and cognitive learning;
- Evaluated using verifiable results that prove reading aloud to children leads to school readiness and future success in school and beyond, and that Chinese / English Learners improve their language skills while reading picture books to their children.
